We are a small but growing team who are big enough to take on bigger projects and service our clients all year round - we have continuous cover within the team for holidays (unlike smaller one man bands), yet we remain small enough to offer a personal, friendly service with continuity which would be difficult with larger, more corporate electrical contractors.
 

The background of our team

John - our founder & very much ‘hands on’ senior electrician, started his career in 1983 originally as an apprentice, then served his time since qualifying with a number of commercial electrical contracting companies, before moving into the fire / intruder alarm sector (during which time he worked for some very well-known specialist alarm and security companies, including Woods Security & ADT (for 9 years) before going independent and setting up Abbcell Electrical Ltd in 1998.

Since then, at Abbcell Electrical Ltd, we have grown a small and loyal team. John firmly believes in the apprenticeship model and giving the right people the opportunity to learn on the job and support of our growing team through their qualification process. Luke was our first apprentice who joined the company in 2007 (qualified in 2010), then in 2015 Dave moved to us from a different company (who was already qualified since 2005, before he joined us and now has over 19 years experience). More recently as our business and reputation continues to grow, we have taken on two more apprentices; Liam joined the team in 2018, then more recently Callum who joined us in 2019 - both showing our commitment to investing in the future of our growing team.
