What to Expect From an Abbcell Electrical Site Review (Spoiler: It's Free)
We offer free site reviews to commercial and industrial clients across the UK, and one of the most common questions we get is simply: "What does that actually involve?" It's a fair question. Here's a straightforward account of what to expect — and why it's worth taking us up on.
Before the Visit
When you book a site review, we'll have a brief conversation to understand what you're hoping to achieve and what your site's background looks like. Are you planning a specific project? Concerned about a compliance issue? Looking to reduce energy costs? Wanting a fresh set of eyes on your electrical infrastructure? Knowing the context helps us make the most of our time on site. We'll also ask for any relevant drawings or documentation — though don't worry if you don't have them; we're used to working with limited information.
During the Visit
A senior Abbcell engineer will attend your site, typically spending between one and three hours depending on the scale and complexity of the premises. During the visit, we'll typically:
-
Inspect the incoming supply and main distribution arrangement
-
Walk the site to understand the layout and the electrical demands of different areas
-
Assess the condition of visible electrical infrastructure
-
Review any existing documentation or certificates you can provide
-
Discuss your operational requirements, constraints, and any specific concerns
After the Visit
Within a few days, you'll receive a written summary of our findings and recommendations. This is not a marketing brochure — it's a genuine technical summary written in plain English, with prioritised recommendations and, where appropriate, indicative costs. There's no obligation to proceed with any work, and no pressure applied.
Why Free?
We offer free site reviews because we believe the best way to demonstrate our expertise is to apply it. Clients who see the quality of our thinking before they've spent a penny with us tend to become long-term partners. That's the business model we're built on.
